it is an absolutely brilliant example of this government's approach to things - youngish Downing Street speech-writer finds out that people working in specialist areas might actually know more about how things work than he does!!! or even than a policy-maker does!!!!!!!!

With luck, the media are actually going to get their act together and take New Labour down. I've given up waiting on Cameron to start... ...and the Lib Dems are more than likely going to lurch to the Left - or else be too busy pondering why so many of their number are either alcoholics or paying too much rent

But I genuinely think you're right about the media- the wheel is turning and with luck the battles Cameron dare not fight are going to be won for him by others.
