Gravatar Hewitt: “Having so many unplanned admissions can also make it harder to develop day-to-day services in the hospital and increase costs..."

Stand by for the closure of the A&E.

Hewitt: "More efficient community treatment can avoid the need for hospitalisation.”

If I thought this was a coherant plan for more local hospital care similar to what existed before that arse Heath kicked off all these 'reforms'. Then I might give Hewitt some credit.

But I expect it is just another ploy to keep people off the waiting lists and let them die at home.

Gravatar Absolutely Wat.

I am going to do a big post on this rip off of the elderly.

This is the worst of all Gordon's stealth taxes.

NHS "from the cradle to the grave" - it's a load of shit now.

Once you get old, you are deemed not to be ill and your NHS care suddenly becomes private only.

It is an outrage
