If I thought this was a coherant plan for more local hospital care similar to what existed before that arse Heath kicked off all these 'reforms'. Then I might give Hewitt some credit.
But I expect it is just another ploy to keep people off the waiting lists and let them die at home.

I am going to do a big post on this rip off of the elderly.
This is the worst of all Gordon's stealth taxes.
NHS "from the cradle to the grave" - it's a load of shit now.
Once you get old, you are deemed not to be ill and your NHS care suddenly becomes private only.
It is an outrage
