Gravatar ...He was disappointed when he failed his computer studies course at Bristol...

How did he get through the checks and searches then to get the position?

Gravatar "How did he get through the checks and searches then to get the position?"

How did all those people get made Lords?

Gravatar It doesn't seem as if he was appointed for his IT skills but for the project management skills that he honed as a consultant for Andersen's. That was a spiteful piece in the newspaper and seemed to be highlighting a family quarrel to embarrass him. At the end, it seems irrelevant as he is employed to manage the implementation of the system, not to contribute to the nuts and bolts of it.

Computer Science was so new back in the 80s that many of the well-known and respected professionals in the field had degrees in other subjects.

Of all the things that bedevil this project - I don't think the fact that its overall director only passed his computer studies module on a re-sit is the most significant.

And, as for the stuff about not speaking to his mother for a decade - this is getting ludicrously close to the plotline from L'etranger.

Best - Tony

Gravatar S owhat PM skills did he get working for Andersen Androids?

Weren't they banned from bidding for State contracts until Zanu-Labour got power?

Gravatar I'm more worried that he worked for Andersens.
