If words were bullets, then the number of comments on various blogs at the moment against these New Labour bafoons means a majority of our beleaguered population will soon be running out of ammunition faster than our troops in Afghanistan. Weren't they sent there by the same NuLabour loonies stating they would never even have to fire a shot. We are truly up the creak without a paddle.

Wat
When I was at school - in fact, until, oh, 1997 - there was a doctrine in British government called ministerial responsibility. Individual MR meant that a minister was responsible for everything in his department and took the political heat (ie resigned) if something went seriously wrong. Collective MR meant tha all members of the government supported and were responsible for government policy. There were no squirrel-faced incompetents abetted by other incompetents demonstrating against their own colleagues' policies. How times change!
