Brown is to reality as bonobos are to chastity. Long after everyone else said "Gordon's a liar!", the Tories screwed up the courage to say it too. How long before they say the other thing that everyone else knows: "Gordon's BARKING!!!"

Food for thought.
General Gordon did not walk away. Instead he was cut down by his enemies and decapitated, and, on the orders of the Mahdi, his head placed in a tree
"....where all who passed it could look in disdain, children could throw stones at it and the hawks of the desert could sweep and circle above."

How Brown has the gall to talk about the cuts the Tories will make is really quite breathtaking: he is actively cutting right now.
A local college has had its budget reduced by half-a-million pounds. As a result it will have twenty fewer teachers in September (redundancy and natural wastage) and has abandoned all adult-education evening classes.
(This college has also had to spend £2 million on consultants, architects fees, planning permission etc. for a £50 million building project that will probably not happen because the money has run out; but that’s another story.)

Brown has developed one thing in office: an incredibly thick skin. Might need investigating by scientists as to how one can grow such leathery, armoured flesh. One capable of takign every brickbat going.
It's clear that while once ministers and politicians fell on the swords if found to be less than decent, that's no longer how it is. Brown is the essence of NuLab with a dash of unelected and unelectable thrown in. It simply means whatever happens you shrug it off. After all, what's anyone going to do?
If he can Brown will see this out to the last possible minute, in the hope people forget how useless labour is and think maybe Brown and his cronies wasn't so bad after all.
Hopefully we won't ever forget.

Wat, I an surprised you would subscribe to the idea that you owe us an anti-government polemic-a-day.
You have a contractual relationship with the Taxpayers Alliance that no doubt requires you to produce commentary on a regular schedule, there is no such contractual relationship here.
I appreciate and enjoy your knowledge of where source data resides and the interpretation you provide. Please keep it coming at whatever regularity you decide suits your use of leisure time.
As for Browns continued babbling about "a duty to do whatever is necessary.....to set the economy right", one gazes slack-jawed at the shell of a man who has been been working full-bore at destroying the economy for twelve years and cannot understand that his "figures" (he will not say estimates) will not bend to his will. There is a word for this...delusional, and continually deluded people usually require mental health intervention.

I actually buy the Hannan scenario - chiefly because Mandy has tape-wormed himself into a position where Gordon's sense of duty helps the former's purpose. Whilst this runs contrary to Heinlein's razor (never attribute to malice that which can be readily explained by stupidity), the horrorscope indicates that Mandy's purpose and Gordon's self-delusion are conveniently aligned for now.
Do you actually believe that once Lisbon is done and dusted in Eire (assuming that the con goes to plan this time) that a UK general election will make the slightest bit of difference to self-determination? If Cam won't obstruct Blair-Presidente this is suggests he is in on the scam. He, like Blair, will do all right out of the EU, us poor fools will have to kiss the rear end of Blair's portrait every time we go to a bank.

Brown can lie to his heart's content. If the media (BBC et all) do not report it then the 99.9% of the population who do not read blogs will never know. They will swallow the lies.

But they don't, hence the disastrous poll results. People continue to think for themselves and always will despite the spin ....

Brown's 'reality' is the same as all Laborites - 'socialist totalitarinism' -
state control via government controlled PFI's for which borrowings continue to escalate.
He, therefore, appears 'deluded' as PM of a 'democracy'. "He speak with fork tongue" trying to manipulate the gullible he's landed in three generational debt paying for Nulabor's "All Hail Brussels" vision for Britain.
