I thought that Ken Livingstone came across as a sad, embittered old windbag.
I am sure he must be feeling the pinch now that he no longer has his snout in the trough and now his partner (admin manager!) has been separated from the payroll thereby reducing their joint incomes by a further £98k.
He should go and get a job instead of hanging around like a stale fart.
As a Londoner I used to want to want more of our taxes back.
Now I want less, I want all the money we spend helping the unemployable to live in London to go elsewhere and the unemployable with them.
Although I feel a lot of them would be soon work if the alternative was Middlesborough.
Also the money spent on Abu Qatada could be spent on a house for him next to Gordon Brown in Scotland. The same policeman could protect both of them from vigilantes at the same time.
I think that Boris Johnson was shown up by Sarah Montague for what he is, a blithering idiot who seems unprepared for any interview he gives. Well done Sarah, your questioning confirmed my beliefs about him.

Boris certainly didn't come across very well, and has since issued a "clarification" in which he accepts the memorandum exists.
In fairness to Boris, I think what he meant to say was that there is no agreement, secret or otherwise, on how any FURTHER cost over-runs will be divvied up. And such over-runs now look extremely likely.
Also, although the existing memo -signed by Ken - says the Mayor will find an extra £300m, he's got to do so without increasing the Mayor's precept (ie Council Tax), or public transport fares... so ... er... how's that meant to work?
Nods, Wat, it's yet another Livingstone lie. Just because money comes out of "reserves" doesn't mean that it's not a real cost to Londoners.
