Sadly this is nothing new. Back in 2003 I managed to find myself a job. Via the traditional method of an advert in the local paper.
I happened to be signed up with another job broker at the time, Employment Opportunities. Despite the fact that the only 'help' they provided was to painstakingly photocopy all job adverts in the local press with a positive about disabled people symbol and send them via snail mail to arrive often after closing dates for application, once I was working I was repeatedly hassled by EO to sign similar forms. I refused as getting my job had nothing to do with EO and everything to do with me. The job brokers have to get their funding somehow!

Time for someone or maybe more than that to ask their MPs to investigate, perhaps?

Hi Dreamingspire
I emailed my MP via the TheyWorkForYou website at the weekend but have not had a response yet. Friends in the same local area have advised me not to expect a response for several weeks.

Well, well, well; WT I think you deserve a medal for this. Keep up the good work.

Hi Wat,
Turns out that in this case blogging may have been more effective than writing to the MP: see my update here.
