Gravatar "Of 377 National Health Service and private hospitals surveyed in England, 173 - 46 per cent - were found to have poor cleanliness in their kitchens, or canteens or cafes used by staff, patients and visitors. Nine of the 377 were private hospitals, of which six were found to have at least one area of concern."

Doesn't that mean that the public sector has performed noticeably better than the private sector?

Gravatar Sixteen years old and I had the freedom of my moped to get a job in the Summer holidays.

One of the first jobs was working at an NHS hospital doing the washing up in the kitchen.

Somebody brushed against a wall and knocked off a tile or two.

Out came a cascade of very large cockroaches.

Dozens of the things.

I was shocked.

The regular staff were not!

And that was 30 years ago.

NHS anyone?
