Whoa, that sure brings back memories. I went to Dallas in the year of Urban Cowboy. Between that and "Dallas" you could really feel the electricity in Texas then. I made it down to Houston & Galveston, checked out Gilly's and all that. "Stand by Me" was kinda in the air at the time.

I left in '82. Hear it was one helluva a recession - some older ladies had already lost a bunch of money in oil before I left. Texas took its lumps, that's for sure.
