Indeed. Moreover, Tech can't ban _me_ from carrying on campus, only its own students and faculty.
What idiocy!

"The right to buy fine weapons is the right to be free."
That line is from the 1940s classic, "The Weapons Shop of Isher," by the late A.E. van Vogt.
Funny how government wants to pass laws about this sort of thing, knowing full well that criminals by definition don't follow laws.
I wonder why they want law-abiding citizens not to have firearms? (insert sick grin here).

Virginia is better than Texas in that regard. Down here nobody can carry firearms on a school campus, except for peace officers.

The national anthem of such countries (like the UK) should be "Baa!" since the people therein don't seem to care about freedom at all.

Professor LaRoche, here is an SF book recommendation:

Quick read, and fun...if you like RAH's "Starship Troopers." The review is quite fair minded (which surprised me, given how "military SF" is often viewed).
The author used to work in military intelligence (cue the famous line from "Rocky and Bullwinkle").
It's a quick and fun read, again.
