so the only news out of our mini camps was that Tyler Schmitt had a bad snap....his first ever so he says...
other than that, has he been solid???? Should I assume that no news is good news on that front? Obviously when it comes to your longsnapper, he doesn't make headlines, they only make news when they mess up. So when you don't hear anything, you know they're doing their jobs.

Are the kickers still battling for a spot on the roster? I think you have to roll with Coutu, simply based on the long-term possibilities.

When you say 'word around kirkland' are you saying you're getting information from somewhere besides another blog?
I think we will keep both kickers. I know there are a lot of you saying otherwise but i really think Coutu will be on the practice squad and Mare will kick this year or we will use Mare for kick offs and Coutu for field goals. I know, call me crazy but that's what I think.

You're crazy. The Seahawks have NEVER kept two place kickers on the active roster.
Plus there are too many other areas (WR, DL, DB, maybe RB) that could use that extra body and keep a talented player from hitting the street.
I think your idea of Coutu being on the PS is a lot less crazy. I don't see anyone picking him up off waivers before the Seahawks get a chance to sign him to the PS.
