Gravatar Michael, I never heard the vocal stylings of Mrs. Warner on talk radio, but sheesh -- Elisabeth Hasselbeck makes me want to put a shoe through the TV screen.

She's not exactly an intellectual giant.

I hope you all had a great week!

Gravatar I feel cheated, you didn't put my name in bold print dammit!

Gravatar Yeah Warner's wife was a lot like Jeff Garcia's dad in calling the radio shows, it was hilarious!

Gravatar Does she strike you as unintelligent because of her political/moral beliefs or is it because she is a gorgeous blonde?

Gravatar Thanks for that tidbit about using the draftee's roster spots to get a look at undrafted players. I'd always wondered why it took so long to start signing draftees. Now it makes sense.

Gravatar Sorry Evan, I got your back. You are bold now my man.

Gravatar Tim, I'm a gorgeous blonde, too.

Gravatar I am a BIG fan of Elizabeth Hasselbeck!!! Anyone who takes it to someone as politically blighted as Rosie O'Donnel is OK in my book.

Assuming she is a Seahawk fan, of course.

Gravatar Politics aside, anyone that stands up to that bully Rosie O'Donnell is a hero in my book. I love Elizabeth for that!

Now for a question:

What position do you anticipate the Hawk's biggest need/target will be for the 2009 draft? I realize a lot will change between now and then, some of which we can anticipate and life will naturally throw in a few surprises. Wanna put on your wizard cap and prognosticate, Mike?

Gravatar Hey Michael, We keep hearing about Sims move to RG and Wahle's added toughness at LG, but I'd like to hear some of the real football pros give us more of a coaches perspective on this.

I understand that the move to RG is expected to be a little easier for Sims since the right side of the line gets a block from the TE while the LG needs to play in space a little more to help the LT. But Seahawks coaches compliment Sims on his quickness and ability to pull and move...

So, if he couldn't handle those responsibilities at LG why should they think he'll be better at RG?

Neither Spencer nor Locklear are great run blockers, so we need a RG who can really drive block, not just fill space. I'm not convinced Sims is the guy. Are you?

I want to see competition at RG. I hope you will tell us what you are seeing at practice. I'm looking forward to seeing Ray Willis get healthy again and try to win a starting job. I'm interested in seeing Wrotto too, although I expect him to still be raw and learning. I don't think we can assume Sims deserves to start until he shows us something.

Gravatar I think Sims skill set is better suited to RG than it ever was to RG. His strengths are his quickness, pass pro and stunt awareness.

At RG he'll be lined up against teams 3-techs as opposed to the 1-techs that LGs have to go against.

3-techs are generally quicker and lighter (Rocky Bernard, Tommie Harris, Sed Ellie) than the more bullish 1-techs (Pat Williams). So Sims should be able to handle these guys a lot better than Gray did and also be able to get some push against the lighter DTs in the run game. I actually think RG is perfect for Sims but we'll have to wait and see.

Gravatar Schmitt to lber?

You hear about Lbers moving to FB (Boomer Grigsby, Kory Hall) but I don't think that FBs often move to Lber.

I could see Schmitt having a Lber type impact on the kickoff coverage and kick return blocking.
