Seahawk Addicts

Gravatar Are you telling me that the NFL, who is looking to clean up their off-field image, is going to let Lynch off with no punishment? OK lets figure out why he was out at 3AM. He was drinking and getting into trouble. He hit a woman with his car. He had to be drunk. I don't know about you, but I have never driven down the street and decided "hey I'm going to go and run her over." I'm sure Lynch wasn't thinking that either, but in his drunken sense of mind, he did hit her. So he fled the scene to avoid an arrest or at the very least avoid a DUI and attempted vehicular homicide charge. Give me a break.

If Lynch isn't getting anything, I sure in the heck hope that Lofa and Rocky don't get anything either.

Gravatar I am really suprised he didnt get at least a fine and actually thought it was going to cost him a game. Seems a little inconsistent with how they have been handing out stuff over the last year for him to get nothing.

Gravatar The NFL has to follow the lead of the courts which decided a slap on the wrist was in order.

Gravatar I'm disgusted.

Roger Goodell is all talk and no action unless you're not a starter or Pro Bowler, isn't he?

Julie

Gravatar Goodell would have had to see something else in the incident than the court did to suspend him. Everything beyond is an assumption that he'd been drinking - positive, but zero proof.

The good news is that you won't see anyone in the media making the tired statement that the Seahawks have a tainted record because they beat Buffalo while Lynch was out.

Gravatar Well since 'Goodell says since Lynch pleaded guilty to a traffic violation, there was no violation of the league's personal conduct policy.', it looks like Lofa Tatupu won't get any suspension.

Also Matt, it was dark, he didn't see the woman, he saw another woman around her, it wasn't intentional, he wasn't drunk, he just didn't see her. He didn't leave because he was scared, he left because he didn't realize he hit a woman. He didn't try to hide his car when he got home, it was parked in his driveway. Cut him some slack.

Gravatar You know I like Lynch as a player, hes very underrated but I would feel great about week 1 if he was out. He really should be suspended for a week or two. The NFL cares more about what protein shakes the players drink than the big stuff.

Gravatar NO PUNISHMENT?! The guy hid from the cops for a week after mysterious dents appeared in his car, and THEN he was still reluctant to say what happened and where the hell he was the previous night. But no, of course he wasn't driving while hammered or anything, and of course he didn't almost kill somebody with his car. No sir.

Gooddell needs to grow some balls and take action if he's trying to clean up the NFL's image. This is disgusting.

Gravatar I just noticed the "barring a strange golf cart accident", thats funny. Watching him ride around on that golf cart was great.

Gravatar I think this is fair, the NFL seems to be letting guys off with their first incident. So in fairness Lofa and Rocky are off the hook too.

Gravatar Julie, the decision to not suspend Marshawn is Rodger Goodell's call, if the incident warrants a suspension or not comes in to question. Besides this deal was more of a heresay thing anyway. Becasue there was no actual proof that Marshawn was driving and they can't charge him with DUI or anything else that would warrant a suspension after the fact. The only thing the plice had against him was the hit and run. That is a misdemeanor anyway so why would they suspend a guy for a misdemeanor offense?

and Gonzo, what the hell happened to innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. They had no proof that he was driving. There is only so much the law can do to someone with a crime when they have no proof. So cut out the crap as if you are a saint and everyone else should be busted.

Gravatar I love how hearsay and innocent until proven guilty come up in a case where they guy pleaded guilty and held a press conference saying he did it. Classic!

Gravatar jeremy, if he was innocent, why did he hide from the cops for a week? Why were there marks on his vehicle consistent with this type of accident?

Also, as Michael just said, he admitted he did it.

In other words, Goodell has just let every player in the NFL know that if you don't kill anyone, (and maybe if you do,) there's no punishment from the league.

Gravatar you know guys before I say anything on the blog spot I find my sayings to be truthful n just dnt leave it to michael tell like it is. YOU CAN RUN LIL BACK BUT YA CANT HIDE....4EVER. I dnt want to look it up but if lynch has been in trouble before then i would get em. if not leave my guys alone too. but hiding like a girl?? sorry S.
