Seahawk Addicts

Gravatar LeCharles Bentley was cut today, I am not one of those guys that says hey lets sign this guy or that guy, but I would really like having this guy. Simms and Spencer have been average at best, plus Spencer always seems to have nagging injuries. I think TR needs to make the push for this guy, we have the money.

Gravatar You realize that Bentley hasn't played football in two years because of injuries right?

Gravatar Michael, I hope your presentation goes perfectly. If you are as dedicated of a student as you are a blogger, it's nothin' but A+'s!

Seriously, good luck, and thank you so much for all the stuff you do around here.

Gravatar I don't really count a staph infection as an injury, from what I remember, Bentley loves to play football and I have no doubts about him getting back on the field, I would have higher expectations for him then Marcus Tubbs, and Tubbs still has the chance to be great.

Gravatar I want LeCharles Bentley also. That guy could be wicked, he's a probowl center, and from the look of him probably a probowl guard...the hawks should buy him.

Gravatar He was out due to injuries though. Besides the staph infection...which almost killed him...he tore his patellar tendon so bad that they didn't think he would be able to walk.

Gravatar I was just thinking about it and I really doubt he would work for the Hawks line. He is huge and a beast for sure but as he has a shaky knee, and I'm going to say shaky at best, he can't be athletic enough for our new zone blocking system.

Gravatar Thanks for gathering all of these interviews in one easy to listen to place. SA rocks!

Gravatar What so we know about what kind of shape he is in? Is he just healthy enough for the Browns to dump him? I want to roll with the guys we have unless there is a no-brainer guy out there.

Gravatar I loved the Marshall interview on KJR. You can tell Marshall is a motivator. He doesn't like to speak ill of any of his players and he doesn't try to put any undue pressure on them by labeling them as a future all pro either.

He basically said that by being together for a year now with the same players on defense, they would be able to take a step forward in their team development. Although he wouldn't address the problems the defense had on the road directly, he seemed to be saying that this unit will be much better this year because of not having any changes and with all the players coming in this year knowing the system and having good communications between them. He expecially acknowledged Grant and Russell for their ability to see the field and communicate adjustments to the rest of the defense. He praised LoJack and Bryant as rookies and said that Jennings has made big strides from last year to this one.

I can't wait to see this defense take the field and start putting some licks on people. I think the defense is going to be my favorite squad this season.
