Why did people mistake a blonde white guy for a bald black guy?

I liked this episode. I never read anything with the BG character, but I liked how they played up how narcistic yet self-loathing the character was. There should be more superheroes like that.

I thought they were making fun of how people get PM and EM confused despite the fact their pawers aren't all that similar.

On the EM topic... I thought EM negated that statement himself at the end of that comment, saying it didn't happen.

It was great that they had EM save the day and Plas was nowhere to be found.

Anyway, I liked this one alot and put up several screen caps on my blog here: http://my.voyager.net/~ckarath/ b...409.html#040912

BTW: Very cool to see that Booster pin pict. I have one of them on my desk at this very moment... for some reason it has been in the bottom of a pencil cup on my desk for the past decade.

Chris - I'll need to watch the episode again...now that you mention it, I think you're right about EM saying he didn't do that. Oy, I shouldn't write these things in a rush.

I agree that it was sort of a meh episode, but it did provide a tiny bit more hope that someday in the not too distant future we'll see a Legion of Super-Heroes animated series. I also liked Billy West's performance as Skeets.

That was Billy West? Right on. I had a devil of a time reading the credits, since 1) they've been squished, and 2) I recorded at the highest-quality speed on my VCR, so getting a clear freeze-frame is not an option. Yeah, I'm a VCR owner in a TIVO world...I'm practically a caveman.

If you can't have Booster/Beetle repartee, Booster and Skeets is a pretty darn good way to go.

I particularly enjoyed how J'onn picked VIBE ahead of Booster for the support team. And I'm assuming the cowboy with the kerchief over his face was Vigilante...which was a bit of a letdown as I half-hoped when I heard the name they'd go with the '80s character.

Can't wait to see next week's Amazo story. I'm kinda hoping they rip off the Grant Morrison one, if only because it has such a prominent role for clueless Wally.

I liked the episode myself, but then again, I may be the only person in the world jealous of the fact that Mike has the Booster Gold button--I am very proud of owning the entire, whopping 25 issue run of Booster Gold.

There hasn't been enough Flash this season though.

Rob,

I, also, am intensely jealous. And I still remember the blank stare my comic shop guy gave me in 1987 when I asked if they had any Booster Gold or Blue Beetle posters...

Chris:

Let's just hope Meltzer doesn't kill of Booster Gold or Trixie (is she even still alive) in his attempt to 'humanize' less than A-level DC characters.

Rob

The only memorable moment for me in the entire Death of Superman debacle was when Doomsday slammed Booster Gol'd head in a car door.
