Crap-a-doodle I forgot to buy that Superman book. And then you tell me something like that is in it? Well, something to look forward to next week.

Re: Green Lantern
Assuming that Kyle's Mom is still alive somewhere. Kyle doesn't know that she is not being held captive somewhere, and if she is not, He then still blew up his mother's house.

The ring handover, made no sense whatsoever. and that floating head ending is just silly.

Bad Comic.

Re: Superman/Batman... I got this one, but the comic store I patron didn't receive any New Frontier issues, so a little held back for everyone it seems.

Fanboy screaming aside, Ron Marz really is one of the worst writers in comics. No matter what he's working on.

I agree on the Marz, but I think it's on corporate owned characters. I originally ignored Crossgen because he was involved and then was pleasantly surprised at how good they were when I finally started reading them. Or maybe it isn't corporate owned that give him problems, maybe its just superheroes. But I've never liked any of his Green Lantern stuff, and I have always thought Hal Jordan was a wooden character (until he became Spectre -- I really liked that idea)

Thanks for the reminder about the Back Issue magazine with Swamp Thing. I had totally forgot that was coming out. See what happens when you don't visit the comic store.

To use that old chestnut, there are two reasons to read Tarot. And it comes out every other month. So there! Seriously, though, it has gotten more and more insane as it has gone along. If Jim Balent does one more 'persecution of witches is wrong' issue, I think I am going to fine me a witch and start persecuting.

I remain convinced that MYSTIC, which I got for free, was the most overpriced comic I've ever read. I had a feeling that Marz is really a computer, trotting out "relative killed" or "bad sister/good sister" for motivation and plot.

I really, really wish he'd stop doing comics.

This is sad. I get the Halloween issue of Back Issue and I see the Swamp Thing article and immediately I say "Hey, Mike Sterling's gonna wanna buy this."

And there you go. I gave up on Alter Ego a long time ago myself - too many old-timers ranting about how subsequent comics sucked compared to their work on, I dunno, Fox And Crow or whatever.
