Five great ones I enjoy for the masses out there.
americanelf.com
...of course, the incomparable James Kolchaka and his fantastic web diary.
questionablecontent.net
....about indie boys 'n' girls in wuv, but much better than that sounds.
loxieandzoot.keenspace.com
...about a nudist resort in Austrailia. "'Cos nudists have adventures too, y'know."
dykestowatchoutfor.com
...not technically a webcomic, but unless you pick up gay news rags on a regular basis, this is the easiest way to see it. A very political soap opera about, well, a bunch of aging dykes to watch out for. Wonderful.
Also,
www.chelseaboys.com
...not technically webcomic either, but worth taking a look at because they just got a big animation deal. Again if you don't pick up gay rags, then you wouldn't get a chance to see this wonderful strip. The strip of two good friends of mine, Glen and Allan who worked on the Wonder Woman Realworlds graphic novel a few years back.

Is it my imagination, or are you being stalked by a 4 year old?

Sinfest. Very funny. Sluggy Freelance. Goes off on extremely elaborate adventures, and has huge amounts of characters and backstory, but funny and rewarding if you invest the time to go through the backlogs. Penny Arcade, of course.
Are any of these even remotely new to you?

Thanks for the suggestions...I was aware of some of them, but not all. I'll go check 'em out.
Bugfish - yeah, that guy apparently thinks he's impressing somebody. Who knows what his problem is. Hopefully his mommy will find out that he's been using the family computer for ill, and she'll take it away.

I've got a little section of webcomic links on my blog if you're interested. I'm not as up on them, either. You might want to check out the Websnark blog for a wider selection. I'd definitely recommend Reman Mythology, and I have an unholy love for Digger over at Graphic Smash.
Are you looking for long story webcomics, or gag strips? I might change my recommendations if that matters.

WHATTHEWHODAFRICK?! Not you too, Mike!
All I can say is WOW. Ever since I started the audioblogs, I got great response, but I never thought anyone else would pick up on it. Have I started a new trend here or is this some new kinda fad that's gonna fade out like holographic covers?

Hi Mike,
Okay, this isn't technically a comic blog or an online comic, but you should check out my blog: The Velvet Marauder. http://velvetmarauder.blogspot.com/
It's the Bridget Jones' Diary of the superhero world. Or something.

http://www.somethingpositive.net is one of my absolute favorites. Very cynical, dark humor. I also enjoy Nukees (http://www.nukees.com), by fellow Buena High alum Darren Bleuel. Much more lighthearted but obscure geek fun. I also enjoy all three comics at http://www.inktank.com You especially should be reading "Sorry, We're Open" there, since it deals with the proprietors of a comic book/gaming store.
I read a whole bunch of others, but they've almost all been mentioned already.

A good site to spend a few minutes. The artist has a very funny, warped sense of humor.

Bruno is a good chronicle of an angst-ridden twenty-something girl, by an angst-ridden thrity-something guy. If you like Strangers in Paradise, you may like it:

I highly recommend Stef Pulford's low-key 6:35 (http://www.sixthirtyfive.com), Jason Thompson's brilliant "The Stiff" on Girlamatic.com, and Les McClaine's wonderful Herge homage "Johnny Crossbones" on evilspacerobot.com.

Rehabilitating Mr Wiggles:
http://www.neilswaab.com/comics/wiggles/
Very twisted stuff!
My Naked Dad:
http://mynakeddad.com/
Twisted, but not so much.
A Softer World:
http://www.asofterworld.com/
Artsy photo-poems.
Tom, the Dancing Bug:
http://www.ucomics.com/tomthedancingbug/
This guy is a razor sharp political satirist and should not be overlooked.
