Here's to another year. I consider you one of my inspirations to keep on putting stuff up on my own weblog.

Actually, you never had a comics sub on the Nexus. You were cosysop. Cosysop on the Dimensional Nexus was alot like playing Basoon for the Ramones.

Shane - thanks!

Mojo - oops, could've sworn we did the comics thing there, too. Ah, well. Just goes to prove the whole "progressive ruin" thing I was talking about!

Congrats on an entertaining year Mike! Next year at this time I'm looking forward to an "Everything You Knew About the Secret Origin of 'Mike Sterling's Progressive Ruin' Was Wrong" entry.

"The Sinking of the Titanic"?!?! Mag and I played that a few decades back too.

H

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GUY!!!

A whole year... awesome! Here's to the next!

Congratulations, Mike, and many happy returns. Progressive Ruin is one of the things that inspired me to take a whack at my own Blog, though I can't come close to your dependable schedule of posting.

I'm sure we discussed comics, and I'd even wager that I tried to convince you to moderate a VirtualNET or HOGNet echo on the subject, but I'm pretty sure we never had an outright Comics sub on the Nexus. Really, though, did any of my message bases ever stay on topic?

Great stuff, Mike! Bake yourself a cake--you deserve it!

Fred

H - if in my revised origin it turns out I had "relations" with the Green Goblin, I'm gonna be steamed.

Will - you have an excuse for your weblogging schedule...you actually work in comics!

Mojo - yeah, that sounds about right. It seemed like comic discussions just sorta naturally sprouted around me, regardless of location.

To all of you - thanks for the well-wishes!

Congrats, Mike! In the constantly-changing comicsblogoshpereiverse-scape, I sure do appreciate your tenacity and wherewithal in providing interesting stuff for us to read on a daily basis.

Although I don't understand my own thought about this, I admit I do harbor a secret desire to see you and Laura Gjovaag collabrate on a SWAMP THING/AQUAMAN team-up story on your blogs.

Good show, Mikester. Many's the time I've wasted hours of my life following up on links posted by your fine site. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations. No matter how depressed I am by the state of the comic book industry sometimes, your blog always manages to put a smile on my face. And this is something very valuable.

I'd say something like: Here's to another year, but... what the hey... Four more years! Four more years! At least four more, that is.

damn you and damn your camel-hair toupee. oh and damn your tin foil cap too. dammit

Happy anniversary, Mike!

Damn, times sure does fly super quick. One minute it's today and the next tomorrow. WOW!

This is a pretty classy web page, Mike.

I like your blog. Thank you for doing it.

The best thing about your letter to the Superman comic is that line about being surprised to find out some art was Rich Buckler's. I bet you were!

Congrats on making it one full year, Mike! Your blog is one of the handful I still follow religiously and I can honestly say that you always manage to keep it fresh. I never feel as though you're throwing something up simply to keep your self-imposed goal of posting something every day.

Thanks very much for 365 days of comic-related entertainment, and here's to your further progressive ruin.

Congrats on the anniversary--here's to many more!

Is that dog wearing graduation robes?

By the way, happy anniversary... though I think I told you that at work today. I still mean it.

Hurrah! One year down! Good job on all of this. I am proud to be your friend. Who else gets my MODOK jokes? It's always a surprise to see the stupid little jokes we make at the store turn into posts. And, as always, it is an honor to be your official Mikester photographer.

Maybe someday, that new issue of Wood-eye will happen...

Happy blogday sir! Your blog puts the M, I, K, and E in "QUALITY".

Happy birthday!

The fact that I would SWEAR that it was just last week that we were all trying to think of "...since 1969" gags does not bother me at all. A whole year gone just like that. I just keep getting older and older faster and faster, and apparently, it's all your fault. Darn you, Mike Sterling! Darn you to heck!

Congrats, fella! I love your insight into the comics industry. Yours is one of the tops in my list of "blogs I keep an eye peeled for on the Comics Update-o-Tron." Keep on rocking!

Mike - I've said this elsewhere, but congratulations...and here's to more years on the blog!

(At the very least, it gives me something to aspire to...)

Belated congratulations, and here's to many more!

Thanks, everyone! You're all swell in my book!

Excelsior!

Another late congrats - here's looking forward to another year of Ruinous wackiness!

Late, again. Happy Blog-o-versary. And thanks for dredging up memories of a game based on a disaster.

Happy Anniversary, Mike! To the thank yous you gave me I can only say that is my pleasue to get the word out on your blog.

Extra origin stuff added: when I posted the link to Mike's blog to the TCJ board I had to post the damn thing three times because I couldn't get the UBL code to work for me. To think if I just posted once and never bothered to check my links this whole thing would have never happened. Good thing I decided not to be my usual lazy self that day.
