I checked out that FF movie link... how the hell can they possibly claim the Fantastic Four is "the longest running comic book series in history"? Did Action and Detective take breaks in publishing? Hell, FF's not even as old as Amazing Spider-Man, is it? (Or is it?) |
When did the rest of the comics world realize that the first Batman movie was crap? I kept getting dorwned out by people saying stuff like, "Well, you at least have to admit that the first Batman movie was awesome." And I'd reply "No, I don't have to admit that." and then chairs would be thrown. Now suddenly more people seem to agree on this. When did this happen? |

Actually, Astonishing is full of Claremontisms -- their just done in a non-annoying fashion. |
Tom - FF is older than Spidey. I still don't know what they were thinking when this blurb was written. |
Mojo - Gorillas improve every comic; it can be proven with science. |
Finally you and Wizard magazine agree on something... |
Julie Schwartz proved that more monkeys == more sales. |

This Toronto Sun article from October 2003 was called "ZAP! POW!" and started with this sentence, "Think comic books are still for the kiddies? Think again." |
I think the Fresno Bee had a similar article back in 2001. |
what is planetary about? i have seen the planetary/batman oneshot and still have no idea what the premise or motif is. |
Andy - wow, with an extra "See you in the funny papers" hackneyed conclusion to boot! Fantastic. |
What about Art School Confidential? |
Okay...maybe Art School Confidential will turn out fine. (Forgot about that one.) |
coo, thanks mikester |

I dunno Mike, that Elektra trailer looks better than I had thought it would and while I don't have very high hopes for the FF movie, it does star Jessica Alba who is hot enough to distract me from at least 12% of the suckage. That's probably enough to get me to rent it someday. =) |

I do wish that Marvel would get their act together with regards to graphic novels and tpbs. It's really sad when I have trouble finding something from 2 years ago. |

I like Evilbeard's idea. If Nic Cage wants to be a superhero so bad we'll just remake Leaving Las Vegas with some fights with the Mandarin in the begining and the end. Did someone say summer blockbuster (with healthy expectations for the European market)? |
