"SW books that never sell: the ones that reprint the original Marvel series"

Which is a shame, cause they're probably the best ones.

Thanks a million for the plug, good buddy!

the traditional bookstores seem to have no problem with having copies of Sin City volumes. What i don't understand is why Dark Horse would prefer to have them stocked there (where they are returnable) and not in the direct market, where they are pre-paid. The returnable aspect of the regular bookstore market has caused serious cashflow problems for more than a few publishers from the direct market the last few years -- I hope that Dark Horse isn't setting themselves up for a similar fate.

the bigger issue, however, as I see it is that they are willfully ignoring the market that grew and maintained the franchise. Hell, if I were them, I'd have kept the old trade dress for the direct market as a thank-you and exclusive for them to sell.

and based on your comments, you at least don't see Sin City as killing all interest in the books, as you've indicated other media adaptations have in the past.
