That 30th Anniversary pin for the X-Men is horrible. A friggin' backwards "E" and then the X-Men logo? It looks like it should advertise an story wit hthe prefix "Ex-" in the title.

The Groo pin easily has all the other pins beat.

I thought Tommy Lee Jones would have made a phenomenal Two-Face...if only he had been given the chance to play a much more low-key, nuanced version of the character, instead of whatever the hell kind of ADD-fueled sideshow from hell Joel Schumacher was aiming for. It's the only instance in cinematic history I can think of where the casting was close to perfect, but the director forced an interpretation that was entirely wrong and idiotic. (Even the Golden Age Two-Face was a more subdued, threatening villain than what emerged on the screen).

Couldn't agree more about Billy Dee Williams as Two-Face. We actually got to see him being *good*, so that his fall in the sequel would have had resonance. The Bat-sequels, for a while, were decent, but continuing with Two-Face after the 1980s Batman would have *meant* something, instead of introducing brand new villains.

"The Bat-sequels, for a while, were decent"

I don't think I've ever heard a human being make this statement before and I am in shock to see it even now decaides later.

Broadway had one really good book: The Powers That Be, which eventually changed its name to its lead feature: Star Seed.

It was a riff on the inheritance of power, like Star Brand. But it also used elements from the old "Starman" TV show with the main character being the child of an alien superhero.

I've always wanted to ask Robert Kirkman if he read this series once upon a time. Invincible goes a completely different way than Star Seed, but there are similarities.

Gabe Martinez (le producer de "Martine, le Racoon Satanique") is an old friend of mine, but I'd caution against going to dinner with him unless you enjoy tales of skull fucking.

I have the Dent button, too - around here somewhere... nice collection!

NO MORE PINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you have the Watchmen pin? Or the watch that had the same smiley-face-with-blood design? We used to have that watch around the house somewhere.

The last pins I can remember were for World's Funnest and I regret not picking up a pair.

Jim - sorry, man, but I've got pins, and I gotta show 'em!

DougBot - yes, I do have both the smiley-pin and the Watchmen 4-button set. No watch, though I'd love to have one.

I you ever become a non sequitor spouting schizophrenic, I INSIST you were your entire button collection (at once) on just one of your sleeves.

I keep waiting to see a genuine "Get Down America - Vote Howard in '76" pin. C'mon, Mike... There's gotta be a pin predating 1986 in your collection.
