It would be better if Superman tells the Spectre to place those memories in his own Kryptonian brain (he could take it, he's all Super and stuff and it would make him look more heroic). I suppose this is just Monday-morning comic book writing, though. |

Okay, in that bottom Archie comic, i get the crab joke, but does it not look like Arch is gesturing to Chuck as an example of how they serve "Anybody"? |
I just realized that that is what the author of the page wanted the reader to notice and I am ashamed. I go now. |
Actually, I thought it was Superman who took the memories. Am I wrong? |
Michael - I thought that at first, too, and it seems to be implied slightly that Superman did get the memories, but that may have been just to throw off the reader prior to the *shock* *surprise* ending. The final shot of the clearly crazier-than-usual Joker with the Spectre's face reflected in his eyes seems to indicate that Mister J got Bats' memories. |

Isn't there a silver age panel out there floating in the net wherein Hal Jordan brags about how he used his ring to wipe out his own memories and those of the Flash of their respective secret identities? Something like that. |
When I first read #770, I thought the Joker was given Batman's memories. On second reading, I thought Superman took them. |
I posted this bit a while back, with the whole JLA happily going along with a world-wide mindwipe. |
That's even more extreme than the panel I was thinking of! |

Learn something new every day, I guess...now if only I could learn something useful! |
