Wikipedia's off on Winslow's first published appearance. Phil did a series of comics for the 1982 Chicago Worldcon, starting as promotional material when they were bidding for the con, and in all the con's Progress Reports and Program Book, starring Roger Parks, a detective specializing in unusual cases, whose sidekick was a much more verbal Winslow. |

I've never really read much Buck other than the original Starblaze graphic novels, which were a heck of a lot of fun. I do think I picked up some comics a while back, but they didn't quite have the same "spark" to me as the earlier work... |
