I don't know what's scarier - men dressing as Smurfs, or filming them and putting them on YouTube.
Makes being obsessed with Swamp Thing look normal by comparison.

Hey, I saw a Hembeck Swamp Thing bit in an old Warlord the other day: let me know if you don't have it!

No...no, they got it right.
Man-Thing IS much better than Swamp Thing.

I second that notion about the Swamp Thing TV show being on DVD. I lurved it.
And I'll never understand why Saga of the Swamp Thing #20 was never collected in trade...

Shaun - I remember the reason being given that #20 was more of an epilogue to the previous storyline by Marty Pasko than the beginning of the Moore storyline.
The obvious solution would be, of course, to reprint those early issues...okay, they wouldn't have the draw of the Moore or Veitch books, but they're not bad by any means. There's a lot of nice Tom Yeates art, a couple issues by the Hamptons, and, of course, the beginning of Bissette and Totleben's run on the title.
Plus, at the rate this series is being collected, those first 20 issues will be conspicuous by their absence.

I was just gonna say, if SWAMP THING #20 is so great, then why the hell hasn't it been reprinted? I'd love to read the damn thing, but I'm not gonna pay back issue prices for it. My devotion has its limits.

Thanks for posting the link to the Swampmen story. It's a letdown that the book never really game together. It could have been something really fun.
Any of you guys are welcomed to my "myspace" buddy list. Don't be a stranger.
