I've seen an advance copy of the new Fantagraphics Popeye Volume 1. Once you see it, you will no longer regret missing the old editions.

That last panel? The prototype for Kate Bosworth.

That last Nancy panel made me feel all funny inside ...

So *that's* what Nancy was doing in the San Fernando Valley.

At the moment, the only other titles I'm sorry I missed purchasing are Shelley Mayer's Scribbly and Sugar & Spike, which I'm sure DC is going to reprint any day now.

If only.

Probably not an uncommon story, but I got into Alan Moore with Swamp Thing, too, and bought all the US printed stuff I could get my hands no by him. I could never part with my Watchmen issues... Too much emotion tied up in reading them as they came out. Miracleman had a choppy enough publishing schedule that it didn't keep my attention as well.

So in the early 90s when I was out of comics and I decided to gut my collection, of course I sold all my Miracleman books for little more than cover value. Kept the Watchmen originals, which still go for not much more than cover price. Argh!

Also, I gave away my Sandman #1 to a buddy who acted like it was his life's goal to have a copy of the book. A couple of years later he sold it for a tidy sum. Thanks, pal.
