Prediction: We all loved Sinistro Corp so much, we'll gobble up the 7 corp story Johns is doing now.

Unfortunately, what made the Sinestro war so great-- 2 distinct sides battling it out-- will get muddied by 7 distinct corps with odd emotional motivations. (Hope as a power ring, really?) By the third issue we'll all bemoaning that it's just too much and dilutes the product.

Mike,

Please let me apologize for violating your third rule by leading off my list with a prediction of death.

I lost my head in the excitement.

Sorry.

My humble apologies, Mike...Captain Marvel, Jr. is a vital and, thanks to Elvis, historically important character completely unworthy of contractions...

Sims was actually praising ASBAR before you. Which can only lead me to conclude that you're both playing some kind of prank on me. Because you're both gentlemen of taste and refinement and that book is such utter and total ass...

The grammar nazi in me just had to comment. You referred to Spider man as coming out semi-weekly. That would be two times a week, which would be an incredibly ambitious schedule.

I know a trailer and a movie aren't the same thing, but the "Iron Man" trailer looks pretty ultra-neato. People really think it'll suck? Jon Favreau wrote "Swingers" and directed "Elf". Plus, yeah, other things that kinda sucked. Still, whence the animus?

No predictions, just a question.

What did CM3 stand for? If it's "Captain Marvel 3," I'm gonna shake my head.

Indeed it does...Billy being CM1 and Mary CM2...poor Freddie...

".unless, of course, we get a company-wide Marvel Zombies crossover, with the zombies invading the mainstream Marvel Universe and superhero vs. zombie hijinks ensue. That should kill the trend once and for all. "

Unless it breaks out into inter-company crossovers. Marvel Zombies invade the DC Universe! Marvel Zombies vs. Hellboy! Marvel Zombies vs Lady Death, at which point they finally lose their appetites and it all ends.

Marvel Zombies vs Lady Death

If that saw print, I would die from an overdose of the awesome.

I love All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder. Besides being extremely entertaining it has confirmed my long held suspicion that comic book readers and internet posters are generally stupid and humorless.

I'm boycotting DC until they give us the Captain Marvel Jr/Captain Boomerang Jr team-up that all the fans are demanding.

Am I the only one who doesn't think that All-Star Bat is either brilliant or horrible? It's an amusing trifle, the sort of book I'll pick up every third issue. The plot, such as it is, is inconsequential. The hook is the unique tone, which has certainly lead to some great moments, but has a tendency to wear out its welcome. I guess I'm just a little tired of the extreme reactions to this book.

You mean CB2?

I'd read that any day. I've been trying to figure out why I liked the "Countdowns" so much, and think it's this: much like "Justice League Unlimted" the book flesh out peripheral characters without the threat of long-term commitment. It's like catching up with college friends every couple of years instead of every month: you and them are never going to do so much in life as to warrent constant updates, but when you do see them again after a while, you have loads to talk about in those few hours.

You will always have your core group of friends you see all the time, but it sure is fun to mix it up once in a while.
