I used to be in the Walmart = Evil camp. Then I discovered that paying 12 dollars for my meds instead of a 150, was really, really nice...

And its nice to see SOMEONE else who isn't all that thrilled by the news of Ult. Fury in Iron Man...

Is there internet drama to be had? Because that's the best kind, and I seem to have missed it.

Am I the only one who has the old comic-sized TBP reprint of Moore's 'Man of Tomorrow'? Seems as though it has completely disappeared from comic and book shops.

LurkerWithout - It's not that I'm not thrilled about Ult. Nick Fury...I'm always glad to see Samuel Jackson on the big screen. Just being a jerk about the photo reference thing, is all.

Justin - Yeah, of course there was internet drama. This is LiveJournal we're talking about.

Just lurking - That comic-sized TPB is now out of print, and is now only available, outside of the Wal-Mart reprint, in that misprinted Alan Moore book (along with Killing Joke).

I've watched that video something like 20 times in a row now. So much for productivity.

Thanks for the info, Mike.

There's a gif version of that video that's even funnier, kinda.

On the Nick Fury thing, Bryan Hitch had this to say on Mark Millar's board:

"This is something Mark and I have known about for a long time and have kept quiet about, though it's excited us since we heard. We told you five years ago. Sam Jackson is Nick Fury; wonder how he'll look..."

Hey, there's more to Livejournal than drama! There's also stupid quizzes and cat pictures and.....

...I'm just digging a deeper hole for myself, aren't I?

SF - I've since discovered a handful of those GIFs as well, and, yes, they're just about as wonderful.

Jonathan - I've no beef with LJ...just some of their users think it's a "private journal" and not a "publicly accessible blog" and thus exempt from normal internet operations.

Urgh, not Jackson. I hate that guy. Anyone else remember when he used to be just a good, solid actor? Y'know, before he started to believe all his cooler-that-thou hype?

I notice you didn't leap to my defense that time I was referred to as a dick with ears, Sterling.

Hmph.

Chris - You mean you're not?

Those...those eyes! They are the eyes of rodent...possessed by the DEVIL! He will swallow your soul and drag you into...ack! He has me! Must...escape!

Mike, I was looking at trades in Borders yesterday, deciding what to buy (I chose none... cheaper at Amazon) and I decided to take a look at the latest version of the Alan Moore DC Universe trade. It does indeed have the text on the first page of "Whatever Happened." Hope that helps!

Carl - Thank you!
