I remember watching the blue lagoon as a kid. I totally wanted to be brooke, I thought she was gorgeous. Not too sure anymore.

Katie Holmes is going to get postpartem depression. You know she will break her contract with Tom Cruise just to get her Meds!

NOBODY has control over postpartum depression - not the mother, not the scientologists, not your diet. I have 4 awesome kids and only became depressed after one. freaked me out completely - I couldn't figure out what was going on with my emotions and moods. it's very scary and it's a bio-chemical thing.
I'm thrilled for Brooke! She's smart, talented and brave enough to talk about her challenges. a lot of women feel they are defective when they aren't automatically "giddy" over a new baby.
and if tiny little Katie has to have a c-section, they had BETTER give her something to dull the pain! maybe tom would lovingly volunteer to have his stomach muscles cut open and then sewn back together with out any anesthetic. we'd see what a big man he was then!
or would he call in a stunt double???

i'm happy brooke's getting back on that horse, but if she writes a book about having postpartum depression with the second baby, then i'm gonna have to assume she's just milking it. pun intended.

I hope she makes it and everything turns out to be alright. Then we can all get on the Party Bus over to TC's and pelt him with my anti-depressants.

I used to have a major crush on her when she was young, but now she just looks freaking scary. I don't agree with Tom Cruise but must admit she starting looking this way ever since she started taking those pills. She doesn't look herself, and still depressed.

Brooke will be fine this time.
She's brave enough to have admitted having postpartum depression and doing something about it, instead of pretending it didn't exist. Any kind of depression is a fight to overcome, and its hard to find the right medications. No one wants to feel that way, ever.
Let's wish her the best, a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby. I admire her courage.
Dsert, you're an ass.

Good for Brooke Shields. I'm happy for her. If she gets postpartum depression again at least she knows the signs and can get help immediately. Fuck Tom Cruise. What will he do if his child bride gets it too? Then we'll see how well vitamins and exercise work. What a piece of work!!!

My mom had post-partum depression after I was born. I felt really bad when I found out, like it was my fault. I bet if her kid ever reads her book her kid will feel 1000000 times more shitter then I felt.

Fuck Brooke Shields, she was too fucking old to have the first kid that's why she had to pump her body with infertility drugs to revive her necrotic eggs. And she wonders why there was a chemical inbalance in her body.
I'm sure the drugs had very little if anything to do with her problem, but if she wanted to have a kid at her advanced age she probably should have adopted or abandoned the idea all together. I know the thing to do on this site is slag Tom Cruise, but he made some good points. There are different degrees of depression and not everyone requires medication. But when you consider that he believes that someone like Andrea Yates didn't/doesn't need meds his argument falls apart. But we are an overmedicated society some people would rather give their kids ritalin than be a responsible parent and disipline them. Of course there are children who wouldn't be able to function without it.
Anyway, who needs some has been like Brooke Shields lecturing them about postpartum depression or anything else for that matter.
