Okay I think we are all being harsh. I can say that I have been known to be drunk off my ass at 1 am at some fast food place and one time it was even a Dennys (usually after clubbing) yelling and accosting the staff. However, I've never been filmed or up on the counter. I think its freaking hilarious. It happens and unfortunately humiliation seems to follow her. They both had #1 albums (or maybe Jessica hasn't), but I don't think they sold very many copies, just didn't have very stiff competition that week.
And remember, entertainers have a tremendous payroll. They have to pay their entourages (hair, makeup, stylists, security, etc., etc., etc.) out of their own money. And of course they only get a percentage of their record and tour receipts.
They (moreso than actors) have an off-stage image to uphold, especially people like Ashley and Jessica, who's popularity is derived entirely from their image and not their talent.
Why do y'all think Britney's wealth has started to dwindle already? She doesn't have as much money as we assume she has. Images are costly to uphold, which is why it pays in the long run to have talent.
