i saw the 20/20 interview last night. she was wearing a black dress and her hair looked cute, but her eyes were very bugged out, a symptom of either drug use or anorexia. the interview was short...basically, an "insider" at people magazine said the real reason for her and paris' split was over money...and then she asked nicole if she was anorexic or on drugs and nicole said absolutely not...and the chick was like "well people think you're scary thin" and nicole was like "they also say it's a sudden weight loss and it isn't"...and blah blah...and that was about it!
As a woman who is 5 foot three and a half and weighs roughly 100 pounds, I can attest to the fact that one does NOT, indeed, have to be anorexic to be that thin. I eat... and eat... and eat... and, well, so far I've just *apparently* got the metabolism of a hyperactive ferret. My weight has fluctuated, due to lifestyle changes, not dieting, in the past, so yes, it CAN happen that a person loses significant weight without starving themselves or throwing up their cheesecake when no one's looking. My weight blew up when I went through a period of heavy drinking, then fell RIGHT back off when I quit. *shrugs*
I think the person who said she looked ghetto before was absolutely right. She looks way better now than she did then, not because of the weight but because of the horrid decisions she made with her wardrobe and her makeup/hair. She looked like the victim of a particularly nasty practical joke instigated by Stevie Wonder. Oy.

I'll take neither - she was perfect right when she'd started losing weight. She had lost the extensions and about 15lb and she looked amazing. Then she lost another 30lb and now she looks like the rat alien in the "now" photo.
Can I say somewhere inbetween? I agree with Jan, she looked her best when she began losing weight and weighed around 115lbs or something. Now that she's down to like 95 or whatever, she's too skinny, imo. She looks much classier now than before (what with the ratty mane, skanky clothes etc), though.
she's really short so i'm sure being skinny is natural for her, but not THAT skinny...her head is too big for her body, a good sign she's doing something to be skinny, her eyes look bugged out and her cheeks are sunken...and when you can see chest bones, you're not eating enough!

Nola, except she is not naturally tiny like Ashley Olsen, Vanessa Marcil, Traylor Howard or any other petite woman. She is a big-boned girl, and I am also short and big boned, so I'll guess she weighs *way* less than 100lb. I am shaped kinda like her and I've weighed 89lb and I was still bigger than her. My legs were about the same but my arms and back were still fatter. So I think she weighs 80-something tops.

Jan, I only know what I've read, which means maybe 10% of it is true. The last I read, she was approximately 5'2 and 92 pounds. My only point in all this is that while it is certainly possible that she has an eating disorder, it's unfair for people to assume such as absolute fact. That's all. I've had people point the accusation at me because of my own size, and it can't be further from the truth, but it doesn't stop people from making up their minds and ignoring what I say.

Nola, I totally get what you're saying. I don't assume she has an ED - but she IS underweight from seeing pictures of her. It is really not about the number of pounds but about the look. The picture with the corndog showed us how underweight she is now. I totally agree with you that tiny does not equal anorexic, but you can tell an underweight tiny person from a naturally tiny one by looking at their faces. A person who's not underweight will have some fat on their faces, especially when they're young. That is why I used the comparison between Ashley Olsen and Richie, looking at pictures of both you'll see what I'm talking about.
Erica, tiny ankles and wrists are normal in short women, but I still consider her big boned because of the size of her shoulders and hips, which she still has although she is clearly underweight.
People that think they know a persons issues or approximate weight are fools. A person as small as 5'2" can lose a small amount of weight and it will seem like a ton. She admitted that she was overweight during the first season of the show b/c of rehab. Did it ever occur to anyone that she is eating healthy and may be working out. That will make an overweight person lose weight, so a non overweight person my appear smaller than usual, but no one should speak as though they know for sure unless they are in the bathroom while she is puking her brains out... ya know
