I was thrilled to be given vicodin after outpatient surgery, thinking of the killer buzz I'd have during recovery. It did nothing for me. Nothing! I even still felt some of the pain! Quel disappointment. Just proved to me that people like Matthew Perry and Courtney Love have bad taste in drugs!

Percocet is good! I was taking it for shingles I had during the '04 olympics. And I was telling Michael Phelps how much shingles hurt and don't come near me because I didn't want him to get it.

I'm allergic to a lot of pain killers, so I get Valium whenever I need something... that shit can knock you on your ass! I love it!

Well to tell you the truth, narcotics are a very individual thing: some people feel great on them and others feel pretty terrible. Some people go to sleep and others feel wired. I don't know her of course, but she might not be far off the mark.

Mmmmm Percocet. I have taken Percocet to get through the mind-numbing horror of every single family holiday for the past 3 years. It's been a beautiful friend to me.
Percocets are a very addicting drug. I had to take them for awhile. I couldnt even sleep. They made me speed.

I never tried it, only Valium, and like the good doctor said, I'm the type that gets hyper. I love anxiety meds though, too much for my own good. I don't keep them around anymore.

Jan, I only had Valium in the hospital and GOD! did I love that stuff. For the first time in my life I felt relaxed.
I got a caffeine high all the times they gave me valium at the hospital, ffleur. Now, when they give me anxiety meds to sleep better, I totally take them during the day to get that nice relaxed warm feeling... love it.
I actually prefer Tylenol with Codeine for painkillers. I still felt some pain but I was in such a great headspace I didn't give a crap, LOL. Hmm, vicodin never made me itchy, oxycontin did though. My fav pill of all time are percocets and clonopin (sp?). I have friends that popped up to 25 pills of various kinds a day. I'm not a pill popper but seeing that stuff up close...you realize that pharmaceuticals are way worse than street meds. Good for Madge she didn't like it. Still though, I'm sure she's just naturally a bitch!

I think I was given some heavy shit in the hospital after abdominal surgery. Don't know what it was, but every time I started to hurt and complained, the nurse gave me some stuff in my IV and I was off to lala land. It was so much fun!
The biggest buzz I ever got was when I was 15 and took Benadryl for an allergic reaction. I went sleepies for the whole fucking afternoon.
Also, Nyquil, the cold medicine. If you have low tolerance, it's a wicked buzz.
I have a herniated disk in my back, so although my doctor is being a fucker and doesn't want to give me anything half-decent for pain, I am hoping for at least Tylenol #3. :-(
yes they will make you itchy...any of the pain pills but because Doctors don't give oxycontin much any more....I like the lortab 10's
i tried valium a couple times. it was like drinking a glass of wine. big disappointment.
they gave me percodan for my wisdom teeth. i only took it once. worthless. the caffeine keeps you awake, but you're really asleep and dreaming. and it does nothing for the pain. just miserable hallucinations.
