I buy shoes just to buy them too. Even if they don't fit. If I like them I buy them but I do try to get my size if they're in stock. Sometimes I try to squeeze into them. Other times I just give them away. I do it with clothes too. I don't think it's "fucked up." I think it's a waste of money but it's fun to come over to my house and play in my closets.

i took it upon myself to look at what was actually on their registery. i went to the neiman marcus website, clicked on the guest registery and guess what? it didn't come up as katie homes and tom cruise and it didn't show a registry. it IS listed under katherine holmes and thomas mapother. the wedding date is not october 2006, but july 2006. another thing...you cannot view their registery because you need a passowrd or something.

And queers, I feel your pain...I am a straight-ish woman, but I hate the whole marriage-bullshit-bridal shower thing. Most marriages end in divorce anyway...I think it's so rude and tacky to set up a gift registry and expect people to buy you shit, only to get divorced and start a new registry all over again a few years later! Any gift I want to have, I will buy for myself (see above about the shoes).
