Did they get arrested on a Wednesday night? Because I read in InStyle or some such magazine that every Wednesday the cast members get together at someone's place to watch that week's episode over dinner and drinks. So maybe they were on their way home from such an event where some cast member served them too many drinks. Probably it was a cast member from the beach settlement, jealous of the newcomers and setting them up for trouble.
Ok, so I checked, they got arrested in the wee hours of Thursday morning so my theory could be correct.

Actually, Anonanon... they have a few different rules there. You really do need work papers and additional identification to work in Hawaii. You are required to submit your fingerprints and have a photo taken, with classification printed (usually in green) for example: "Hospitality", "Entertainment", "Exotic", etc. Then you are on file with the state.
And if you screw up too bad, they can ask *you* to leave. It's something you might not know if you've only vacationed there, as opposed to worked and lived there.

It is soo not cool to drink and drive but in their defense they probably weren't drunk in the way we think of a pissy drunk person. It doesn't take much to be over the legal limit. My uncle is an attorny and one of his clients had ONE beer and she was over the legal limit. It is always best to cab it or walk if you drink anything harder than a moutain dew. Either way jail for a dui is sooo not hot.
