I actually really like Perez. I've been thinking about his relationship with Paris Hilton and I think it's really interesting.
It's almost like a pyramid scheme, right? They have this symbotic relationship, and maybe they're friends too. But from a business angle it's like he gets more fame because she is helping him to get more mainstream notority, and in turn she gets more coverage, attention, and good spin than if she weren't.
I think it's on par with a celebrity signing an exclusive deal with a magazine like Ok of The National Enquirer or whatever. And anyway, Perez has been open about his desire to sell out since the begining. I don't see the harm in their friendship, and I don't think Perez is some contempible loser.

Well this one's pretty easy to read. For what it's worth, here's my two cents: YES she's totally using him and will eventually get bored and discard him like the rest of her pets/friends, and YES he's sooooo star-struck that you now have to scroll through pic after boring pic on his blog ( of Paris and him doing pretty much nothing ), before you get to anything that resembles actual Hollywood gossip. It's like having someone show you their vacation or baby pictures...a big yawn. And no, I'm far from jealous, in fact I could care less since I'm not a Hilton hater or fan, but when a gossip blog turns to nothing more than a fan site/shrine for some talentless bitch, then it becomes time to delete that bookmark.

Perez's behavior should surprise no one -- he's a failed actor, for Christ's sake. I think his motive has always been to be as famous as possible. Gossip just happened to be his vehicle (for anyone who thinks he's a "good" writer, please reread the Paris review -- it's like a singles mixer for lonely clauses). The more he posts pictures of himself rubbing elbows with celebs, the more he loses credibility. It's not that I expect any objectivity from a fucking blogger, but because his lame-ass look-at-me ramblings reveal him as a really dull persona.
