I think she might always choose to wear makeup because that hair color is very light for her, and her face may look washed out without the makeup. I dyed my hair that color once, and I had to wear much stronger makeup every day otherwise it just looked really, really off. Someone who is naturally that light haired would be ok sans makeup, but she's a brunette, so I think that makeup is possibly a bit more necessary. Even on the beach, baby. I'd like to see her as a redhead. I know this is her signature look, but I'd love to see something a little bit different for once.

i am totally thrilled with the prospect of a rossdale/stefani baby. how cute will that be. as for gwen and makeup, she is just as gorgeous without it, i.e. underneath it all video. i just hope she copes well with weight gain etc. she has had problems in the past with weight and self-esteem issues. i hope she realizes that being pregnant is a blessing and a magical time. just enjoy it gwen and eat for two.

We must remember that Gwen lives in a different world than we do (unless you are all celebrities and you come here to read and comment about yourselves, that would be cool) and she knows that if she's in public, esp. since her baby news just broke, then pictures of the occasion will be on the internet in hours and in magazines next week, and she probably doesn't want to look like shit in them.

No, it isn't. Back about 20 years ago or so it probably was, but nowadays, it's safe. Only thing is, the hormones make your hair all weird, so dye never takes right.
