Once I was standing on a subway platform in Brooklyn waiting for the train and this young girl - maybe 12 or 13 - came up to me all sheepishly and asked me if I was Jennifer Love Hewitt. I was appalled! But the girl seemed so nice, so I just said no sorry. She was visibly disappointed, but politely (well, I guess) said, "you look just like her!" I was pretty grossed out, but I guess in a messed up way it was a compliment.
