I think, considering that Heidi lost all of her baby weight in like 6 weeks, that she has a right to say what the industry wants. I really do think there are many Germans that try too hard too seem really "cool" and "hip" etc in a way that smacks as fake to me. I'm not saying Germans aren't actually cool or hip, they are, it's just that the genuinely 'cool' ones usually express it in their own particular way, not as though they have something to prove. Heidi and others try too hard. I think they are too aware and insecure about the stereotypical way in which they think the rest of the world sees them for being German and try too much to go in the opposite direction.
It reminds me of the way Schroeder also tried to act "cool" which I found completely ridiculous and not believable at all.

ellaoy, I've had friends with biracial babies and they can be lighter when born and turn darker or vice versa. In fact, any baby of any race won't be exactly the same color when it was first born as it will be in the months to come. Otherwise, most of us would be red, waxy and have a scrunched up face for the rest of our lives!
BTW, I'm part German have some English and I think some Irish in there somewhere, too. I don't bash other races and I try to be nice to people (unless I have to stand up for myself, in which case, stand back). My great-grandfather was German and was very mean and domineering to my grandmother who, in turn was very mean and domineering to the rest of the family. But none of the rest of us turned out that way - quite to the contrary. My parents are the sweetest people in the world and were great to me. I try not to stereotype or generalize. It's not fair. But, people like Ninny need to be banned from MK's website. Maybe I should email him about that creature.

I have a friend who is a "mixed kid" (don't really like that term and use it more for things like "mixed nuts" not people) but she won a state beauty contest and went to the Miss American pageant. I don't make generalized statements about races, religious groups, etc. People are individuals with good and bad qualities, so I really try to monitor things I say that might come across more as judgments than opinions when it comes to groups of people. I think Henry is beautiful and that has nothing to do with his race(s).
