Then she asks for modifications that he stays up all night making. Then she has a rep call to say she wants something more "earth mothery." Rude! Jay had a right to be pissed off at least in the moment.
I like Kara Saun's designs better and Austin is better suited to the red carpet, but I still think Jay is creative and what Heidi did was nasty (if it really went down the way it did on TV--we all know creative editing can do wonders).
If Heidi will wear that god awful thing she had on at the last big awards show (you know the one that had the weird neck thing that made her boobs look like they were being pushed down to her waist) then I can only imagine how hideous the dress Jay designed could have been.

He said he does not do red carpets gowns and even said "this is austin's territory.." Jay was leaning towards more earth mother in the beginning...Heidi was the one who wanted red red hot sexy mama. It was Project Runways and Heidi's idea to have him do the gown, not Jay's..his PR person practically made him do it ('I do hoodies and cargo pants...' he said).
To call 7 hours before the show when Jay put his collection showing and life on line to do this was absolute shit.

her reason for deciding not to wear the dress wasn't based on the style (which she ok'd prior to Jay making it), it was that she changed her mind and wanted to wear an "earth tone".
She obviously did not care about the fact that Jay spent 36 hours straight making her the dress THAT SHE WANTED TO WEAR, as she could be so cavalier as to not even call herself to say "Oh I changed my mind".
There was nothing wrong with the dress, and if there was, why would she tell him to go ahead and make it in the first place? She did see the design after all.

What Jay made was this big, red dress that was short in the front and long and flowing in the back. Jay didn't want to do a red dress, but Heidi wanted it. Then she changed her mind at the last minute.
Jay has attitude and can be a pain, but still. In Heidi's defense, however, she had just given birth six days earlier. You can't blame her for wanting to look good.

Chloe and Daniel don't have a style. They make things that have already been done. Santino on the other hand has style, and his collection for fashion week is really impressive. Designers know he has a style and have already been inspired from him. Just look at Kara's website and look at Michael Korr's collection at fasion week, they're all Santino inspired.
