I smoked on and off (social, cocktail smoker) for years. Then I caught bronchitis so bad, I thought I would have to be admitted into an iron lung! Then I had to have a chest x-ray. Everything came back excellent, and I haven't been tempted to pick up one of those nasty little effers, since.
I applaud Angie for encouraging Mr. Pitt to quit. Where are they now? I can't keep up with their travels.

It took me about 4yrs and countless tries, but as of this past 21 Feb, I've been 5yrs smokefree (after 15yrs and starting at 12!). The really weird thing is "I always said I would never be one of those ex smoker loons", but I can't stand the smell, can't stomach it at all, and find myself so thrilled that it's getting banned more & more.

It truly was like licking an ashtray and I can't believe that I went on to end up being a smoker. I have been smoke-free now for 4 years and I am amazed that I did it when I was younger.

can't you see ANY of the good that Angelina and Brad are doing? i agree that their relationship didn't appear to start on a solid foundation, but no one, outside of Jen and Brad truly know what their relationship was like and the reasons for their split....in my opinion, cause that's all really are discussing here, not FACTS, is that they are TRYING to do something useful and worthwile in their lives for those less fortunate NOW!...who knows the spiritual/psycological/emotional changes that these people went through to get them to this point in their lives where they want to give back...i for one am happy that TWO high-profile people are working for causes that i champion on a daily basis..as a "regular" person i grow increasingly tired of *celebs* just waisting space and time not doing anything...for all i can fault them for, their charity work isn't one of those things...
