You don't wait a week to take your baby to the doctor/hospital when they have a head injury. Obviously she is too dumb to know that babies head's are extremely sensitive.

this is a matter of strict products liability law. it's not that she's blaming the high chair makers per se - it's just that the makers of the product are liable no matter what in a case like this. a lawsuit will always naturally follow. when i first read that the high chair "broke," i immediately thought lawsuit. it's so much of a shut & close case that i would have been highly suspicious of the "story" if there was no lawsuit.
so yes, a lawsuit is completely and totally expected - it has nothing to do with brit brit shifting blame.

Here is what Happened, b/c I was There (on the wall)! Nanny Rodriguez picked SPF up from the high chair, his legs got pinned in from the table of the high chair, which caused Nanny R. to drop SPF back into the seat, the Chair fell to the side and Nanny R caught the chair as it was falling but SPF fell out and bumped his head. Nanny R debated on calling Brit Brit but had to after 5 minutes of crying took place b/c it scared SPF. I did not see what happened next b/c I flew out of the window when Nanny R opened it to get some fresh air.
i'm surprised brit didn't blame the nanny....
Oh come on. It is entirely within the realm of possibility that the nanny was watching the kid, the chair broke, the kid fell, the doc said everything was ok, and then a few days later the kid started acting funny, so they took it to the hospital.

Bcs like U said, if they'd taken the baby in, doc said baby's fine, then later the baby showed signs of injury, OK fine, wouldn't really blame Britney there, that can happen, but to take the baby in 6 days later? Clearly, if you're taking a child out of a highchair, you have your hands on the child. It's not really a hands-free operation. I have toddler twins, no nanny, and a husband who spent the first 9 months of their lives in Iraq. As many times as I've taken a baby out of a highchair, I can't fathom how you could drop one. It would be one thing if the highchair randomly collapsed (which I've never heard of) but the story is specifically that the nanny was taking him out. It makes no sense.

Based on the fact that she drove her SUV with her child in her lap AND in front of an airbag...the child was not belted in to the high chair and climbed out, fell and hit his head. The way that they make high chairs these days...I mean really, have you ever heard of one just collapsing and breaking and the kid falling? That's cause that shit didn't happen. They aren;t made all flimsy and shit like 20 years ago. I have a child that I belted into her highchair every single time she was in it. It only takes a second for a baby to try climbing out. This is why they have seatbelts in the highchairs afterall.

I'm guessing SPF was sitting in his high-chair, playing with the pack of cigarettes and empty red-bull cans Britney/Kevin gave him, and a Cheeto or something fell out of his bib from a few days earlier.
Britney probably dove for it, causing the high-chair to wobble, and SPF, because of who his parents are, didn't show any symptoms of... anything, 'til 6 days later.
In her newly found Cheeto state of bliss, Britney probably forgot she even had a kid 'til he started crying a few days later.
An aside: I had a friend whose cat was really high-strung, and she'd blow pot smoke into it's face all the time 'cause it would calm the cat down, and because she thought it was funny. Maybe SPF's constantly glazed expression (and, lack of expressions) is because K-Fed (ugh) has adapted that way of "parenting" too?

Unless there's been some sort of recall on this high chair or further evidence that it's hurt other babies in the past, I can't see this lawsuit of hers going far. If anything, they'll settle out of court just to get it over with and avoid negative publicity, in which case Britney is a real bitch for doing that to a business. Some people have to work for a living and lawsuits are detrimental to their livelihood.

First of all, we all know its a really high-end, expensive high chair. I don't think she would be using the ghetto Cosco chair from Walmart. Here's my theory of what happened:
The expensive high chair has a bunch of different locking mechanisms that let the baby feed in a reclining position, as well as sitting up. (See Peg Perego for example)
I am sure *someone* forgot to lock the back of the chair in position and the back "broke", and SPF fell out.
Granted, it could have legitimately been broken. There are always tons of baby product safety recalls. However, this is a girl who doesn't use a car seat.
That being said, I am disappointed with BritBrit. She used to talk about being super-mom and taking care of her own baby-not having an army of maids and nannies. Every picture I see of him is with Nanny now. Guess Brit's busy working on that "career" of hers...
Actually, they just said on the radio this morning that out of the three high chair models of that brand (sold at Target or Costco), the model she bought is the cheapest one ($70).
The company CEO said all three models have been extensively tested and they all should work fine. Can't remember the chair brand they mentioned, though.
Yeah I heard somthing similar this morning on none other then the radio as well Prico.
Also heard he might have actual brain damage but hey that we will all just have to wait and see.

My stab at what happened: Poor little SPF was hungry. His parents were too busy stuffing their fat faces with cheetos after the munchies hit from that last fattie. Then they proceeded to argue over whose turn it was to make the cigg and Starbucks run. Meanwhile, SPF can't take it, so he tries to pull himself up into his highchair so he can lick the cheeto resdue of the tray. This does not work, and he ends up pulling the highchair down, and it lands on his head.
Everyone knows Britney Spears is a stupid, nasty, man-stealing ho who has slept with Colin Farrell, Justin Timberlake, Ben Affleck, Fred Durst (or whatever the hell his name is) and many others.
