ok so i'll tell a story real quick and if you don't want to read it, just skip it and don't bitch about it.
so, my husband worked as a flight instructor with an Italian guy named Marco and the flight instructors all went to the lake. When marco came out, he was wearing his very european speedo. Of course marco picked up on the fact that people didn't like his suit and he figured that it was because it was an old-ish suit. So he goes out and gets a new bathing suit, and confidently goes to the next lake party in a *rainbow flag speedo*. He eventually found out that americans don't generally wear the banana hammocks (why he didn't put it together earlier is beyond me - where do you even get a suit like that?). Of course being a macho hetero italian he was horrified to find out what the rainbow flag meant. At the next lake party he was decked out in swim trunks. solid color. LOLOL!!!
