Jordan got knocked up by Dwight Somebody, a football (soccer) player here in the UK. Dwight never wanted a kid and he never wanted a real realationship with Jordan. She didn't terminate her pregnancy as she was hoping Dwight would change his mind about her and the child she was carrying. During her pregnancy she was still drinking and drugging as she always did. Harvey was born with severe birth defects that, till this day, Jordan claims are the result of her using tanning beds throught her pregnancy.
She has calmed down a lot since then. She is a loving mother to Harvey. When he was just an infant she was advised to instituionalize Harvey. She refused. She didn't have a nanny; her family helped her with the baby. Part of Harvey's diaability is he displays symptoms of severe autisim. He will only wear certain types of clothing. If he doesnt like what he is wearing he rips it off. He is also obssesive with his diet. He will only eat certain foods served in certain ways. Many austic children have this problem, He is hypersenstive to certain sounds and has reactions to very bright lights (he is not totally blind)
I give Jordan credit in the mothering department. She is very involved in Harvey's developement and he does function at a much higher level than the doctors believed he ever would. Even Peter Andre has become the devoted father to this boy.
When it comes to clothes and career decisions, Jordan often proves her taste is all in her mouth. She isnt' a perfect mother but she really is concerned and involved in her boy's lives

more importantly though my point is that kharma is a bitch. this site loves to cruficy a woman who's rearing a child of MANY diabilities, some of which many of the population hasn't heard of. she seems loving and proud of her son, she doesn't have him in some clinic under medication and he always looks clean and happy. i worry that some of the criticism is based on pure hatred and it gets me because many times out in public with my son he, or i, have been misunderstood. it just seems a new form of low, my heart truly goes out to her. sometimes things are just not as we perceive.

There was a special program here in the UK about Jordan/Katie Price. She was very frank about her past. She said most people always thought she would end up a slapper (twat) and she supposed she proved them right. When her son was born the doctors told her he wouldn't live longer than a year and to send him off to a special institution. She refused. They said he would never hear or see and she refused to believe that as well. She got her son the best help money could buy, worked with them on developing a audio visual program she and her famly could carry out at home. Now Harvey's doctors have confirmed that he can now hear sounds pitched at a certain level and his eyes do respond to intense levels of light.
To be honest, everyone wrote this boy off at birth and here he is four years later, healthy and happy, surrounded by a family who love him and work hard for his developement.
Jordan is no saint, but she has turned her life around. She oftens says Harvey is the reason she has come so far. So she has terrible taste in clothes and her idea of a family photo is something that Penthouse could have staged. At the end of the day, those things don't mean shit.
