Ok, Uggs in the summer...stupid. But I will say this...they keep my feet nice and toasty in the winter. I am not the hugest fan of them but my feet get so cold that they are the only things that can keep me warm.

Yes, only in the winter. Sad thing is, they are basically the only shoes I wear int he winter otherwise I will get frostbite on my feet. But oh so toasty. Mine aren't too bad, they are the chestnut color and I try to hide them with long pants. I see them as functional, not fashionable.

Misperception that LA (California as a whole) is always warm. Especially at this time of the year in the morning and after dark it can be pretty cool even in Southern CA. One day it can be 80+ and the next in the 60's. Although, I agree that 1) Uggs are fug and 2) It isn't cold enough to be wearing them at all.
Caveat to statement above...it's all relative to where you're coming from (always warm in CA if you come from Alaska). I understand that 60s to 80s is not cold -- just stating that one day it can be beautiful and warm and the next day rainy and cool -- like anywhere else.

Uggs are designed to breathe and when worn in the summer or warm weather can actually keep your feet at normal body temperature. Can't argue with the ugly though.
