She's one of the few legends alive today (no, I don't consider Bacall a legend!) and a true represantation of the old Hollywood glamour.Now we live in the times where cheap ho Longoria is considered beautiful or homely Aniston hot and girl-next-door type.*sigh*. These old icons knew how to be alluring and glamourous, even with average looks (Bette Davis), something that starlets today lack enourmously.

I love Elizabeth Taylor. As far as acting all you gotta do is watch "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf" and be blown away. As far as beauty just watch "A place in the sun" with Monty, her beauty was something more than fantastic, she takes your breath away.
Her life has been a 3 ring circus of trial and error. I think she and Burton were also the first two actors to receive a million dollar salary for their work in the 60's. And a million in the sixties would do just fine! One of the greats! The kind of quality in an entertainer that is rare now. Our cultural standards have dropped dramatically in the past few decades.
