My friend plays sport against church groups (full on Christian ones) and they're all married by 19 20 as well. They say its because they cant have sex before marriage and when they start seeing someone the parents and the church push them into marriage because "its the right thing to do". And don't think it will end in divorce, it wont. A lot of them are still married 15 - 20 years later even though a lot of them are MISERABLE. But when the church sees that there is trouble in the marriage it comes down on them and tells them they are not allowed to get divorced. Its pretty full on.

I wish people wouldn't complain about how old/young the couple is. Everyone is ready for different things at different times. Someone at age 20 who is in college may not be ready for marrige because of the fact that they are still in school, etc. However, someone else at the age of 20 may be completely ready for marrige no matter what situations they are in in their lives. It depends on how you feel about the person, how you work as a couple, and things like that. I don't believe you should wait until you're a specific AGE to get married -- you should wait for the right TIME. Just because you're 30 years old doesn't mean your ready or in the particular situation to get married either!

How ignorant. It's not a bad thing to wait, but it isn't a bad thing to marry young either. Some people are more mature than others. Some people just find that person earlier than most. My friend got married when she was 20. They're still going strong after 17 years and don't feel that they've experienced life any less because of it. She didn't feel that she had to go screw 100 people before she decided to spend the rest of her life with someone. At least some people still appreciate real, mature relationships.
