I keep hearing about Denis stealing material from Bill Hicks. I don't know much about Hicks, except for what I saw on that documentary about him narrated by Janeane Garofalo. What material did Denis steal from Bill Hicks? Is all the stuff Denis says stolen from Hicks? That would suck! It's possible that I saw Hicks on Letterman back in the day but didn't think he was funny or entertaining enough to remember him. I do think the way Denis says stuff is hilarious.

Season 1 is on DVD now..... Season 2 is coming out soon.... I tell you its a great show, it comes on Tues night at 10Pm and repeats again on Friday night..more than just a fireman show

ok for all the dolts on here who don't understand comedy, the joke denis leary made about keira knightley having to give the president a blow job is in reference to clinton and how clinton's political career was almost destroyed over a god damn blow job. i have seen his act before and he said if you're the president, you should have the hottest chick in hollywood assigned to give you a blow job. when i saw him live, he said sharon stone. but he is now referencing keira knightley b/c she is a huge star.
ps The Job and Seasons 1 & 2 of Rescue Me are all out on DVD. I STRONGLY recommend them.
i saw denis perform at lincoln center this fall as part of the ny comedy festival and he stayed for an hour after the show ended to personally sign autographs for every single request. he was not cut off by security. he stayed, talked to everybody, took pictures and was an absolute sweetheart.
he does a TON of charitable work for nyc firefighters. for those of you who didn't know, apart from losing many close friends on 9/11, denis also lost his cousin to a fire in worcester, mass in a warehouse blaze a few years back, which is also the company he used to volunteer for in high school. (i am a big fan, what can i say?)
