I adore Cate Blanchett and a lot of the time, when a good actor or actress has been overlooked in another role they will win for some role where they may have been just mediocre. I think Angelina has potential if she got the right role but she's not the best actress on the planet either. Angela Bassett did deserve that Oscar for playing Tina Turner. She was great. Julia Roberts was good in one movie ever...Pretty Woman. I don't get her appeal. She was OK in My Best Friends' Wedding and Oceans too but that's about all I've ever liked her in. i said that she should disappear for awhile... i'm not denying that i'm more pro brangelina than jen... but what i WAS SAYING - if you read my whole post - was that it would be BENEFICIAL TO HER to disappear for awhile:
my reasons:
1) There's no stopping brangelina, like it or hate it, they're hot right now - where Jen is NOT hot right now.
2) All Jen is doing at this point is opening herself up to be criticized for being a hack television star. She's making bad movies & even if she made a GOOD movie, it's going to be panned because we're so used to seeing her as a crybaby "victim" in her real life.
3) She could take a nice year off & come back after some of the smoke has cleared to have a BETTER career. People eat up the "reinvented" careers ala john travolta.

I personanly dont think the animations count becuase to me a good actor canb express things through his voice AND his face. He doesnt have to do it all the time of course but to rate an actor's performance i think one must see the face and hear the voice.

Hey pook you know what all those movies had in common? They sucked (in varying degrees of suckiness but they were not good nonetheless). The only one I was fooled into seeing in the movies was Troy but that was more for Orlando Bloom and the eyecandy factor than anything else although I did at the very least expect spectacular action sequences on top of it. I think Brad can act too.

At the Premiere Magazine "Women in Hollywood" Awards, she said her mother was born in a bowling alley and has stated that because of her name people often assume that her mother is French. Jolie's grandparents were French-Canadian. Her paternal grandfather was from Czech Republic. She is of Czech and English descent on her father's side, and French-Canadian and Iroquois on her mother's side.
That explains why her french sounds like she learned it in high school.
