Excuse me? Four weddings is selfish?? I don't think so. I mean think about it, they're doing this for family and friends. Do you know how much money four weddings will cost them? If they were really that self-absorbed they wouldn't be willing to shell out that much mullah just to make a few people in each place happy.
My fiancé and I are having two weddings. One in his home town in the Netherlands and one in my home town a few months later in Pennsylvania. We're doing it for two reasons. 1.) For family and friends that just simply can't afford to travel (round-trip plane tickets overseas are e-x-p-e-n-s-i-v-e!!) and, 2.) because it would be a fun, romantic thing to do.
It saddens me that our society would rather hate on someone else's happiness these days instead of laugh and smile at it. It seems no one can be happy for anybody anymore if they're not happy themselves.
I personally think it's about time these two got married. I really don't know what they see in eachother and I can't help laughing thinking of "Kid Rock" as "Bob" but they're human and evidentally they found happiness. So why can't we all just be happy for them?
Now they can spread their VDs around the world.

I can see getting married twice because of being in different countries or different religions, but please, these 2 should just get drunk and go to Vegas, Britney-style.

As for the rest, I personally don't care why they're marrying all over the place 'cause it's honestly none of my business. It could be to spare some expenses for others or themselves (just because they're celebrities doesn't mean their money situation is the best right now -- remember a lot of $$$ goes into maintaining the image of being a celebrity. There are certain things people expect from them to maintain their "status".), it could be because some family and friends simply can't take a week off from their jobs and kid's schooling, or maybe some are pregnant or too old to risk on long flights? Some could also just refuse to be around "other" friends and family for personal reasons. Maybe some are even too afraid to fly still after 9/11? I have an old crazy Great-Aunt Milly who won't fly. And I mean she WON'T fly. Heaven help the person that makes her LOL She gets weird about even taking a train. Last time we tried it she almost knocked her wheelchair apart screaming and kicking up a storm! They literally threatened to sedate her! Wish I would've gotten that on video. Who would've thought an 83 year old woman would be that strong? LOL
Regardless of the why's and how's they have the right to marry as many times as they want anywhere they want. That's their perogative. Maybe it's just something they find romantic? Who are we to judge? *shrugs* If I had that much money I would find it kinda cool being able to marry all over the place too if I could. Although I'd pick different countries not states. The different states thing makes me think they're having one for her family, one for his, then one for themselves where they really want it to be.
