I just rented Just My Luck last night. After a while, I had to turn the sound off---it was just too inane.
Linds plays a girl, working as a janitor/maintenace worker in a bowling alley/club because she is out of luck.
I think that the scenes where things go all awry, are to show us, the viewing public, that she can stomach humilation---and she can survive and be a winner.
The reason I watched it all, was because I was curious about her wardrobe. Some of which was really nice.

Bill Macy was in the Cooler, and some HBO movie as a mentally challenged door to door salesman with Helen Mirren (a fave) and Kathy Baker (another fave). He did an excellent independent movie with Donald Sutherland as a father-son assassin team. He was his usual milquetoast self and Donald was the overbearing, belittling father. When Bill wanted to get out of the business, that's when things got interesting. you all can find them at the vid store, i'm sure. as for Felicity, she's kinda skinny to me (i like me a little meat for dinner, a little jello for dessert, ahem) but i would bang the shit outta her, sumpthin bout her.

William H. Macy is from my hometown and I know his family(his uncle and father owned a real estate agency and insurance firm when I worked for them yrs. ago). Great family with a lot of integrity.. he supports our local theatre and is a board member. He speaks at our alma mater occassionally when he's back to visit his dad. Kudos to Bill for speaking the truth! We love him here and respect his achievements and class. Not many left like him in Hellywood.

seems to me that lindsey's trying to grow up into adult roles in her movies. she must be looking at the arc scarlett johannson is taking and is trying to stay up with her. i'm just saying, look at her most recent roles compared to her early stuff. thing is she's obviously still a kid trying to burn the candle at both ends. she's the equivalent of the young pro athlete who's got a lot of money and don't know how to conduct himself on the job or in public.
