It actually sounds like the girl has read a bit of Ayn Rand but didn't really understand the whole concept. Most people think integrity is just being honest or having morals. There's a lot more to it. You have to be true to your self and your own goals. The second you compromise yourself to those around you in a way that devalues you as a person, you've sacrificed your integrity. It's not about just being a good person. It's about being true to yourself while not taking advantage of others or letting them take advantage of you. You guys are making this girl out to be an idiot. She's not.

I am sick to death of the criticism of pageant contestants....I grew up in the pageant world and competed with women who are now doctors, lawyers, and many that are news casters on the major networks...Dr Deborah. Turner...a Vetrenarian who appears on the Today show, Gretchen Carlson, an anchor on Fox..Leeanza Coronet Steines...Entertainment Tonight...not to mention Vanessa Williams...all of these women are former Miss Americas...I could go on and on..but for each of you putting a "Miss" down..I guarantee you that YOU are too weak and nowhere near as bright or talented as many of these women.

My favorite, from North Dakota, became noticeably nervous even before the final question. Otherwise, she had it all!
Virginia's contestant had an adult look to her, and it's a TEEN pageant. In the past, other teens made that mistake.
Georgia's candidate seemed to lose her confidence as tension built up.
North Carolina's finalist was hampered by her overall look, imo. Nevertheless, she was 1st r/u.
Montana had the crowd on her side! Her voice had the best tone and she seemed the most natural.
